PostPic 0.9.1 script details This is done by adding a new data type to the PostgreSQL core, the "image" type.
Along with it, several new image processing functions are also added.
These can be used to manipulate image data or to extract their attributes for further processing, internally or externally.
Usage examples are included with the download package.
